Portfolio 1 Week 2 - High Resolution Sculpt 2nd Pass

Notes from Week 1: Tail is too small. Make face perfect to reference. Spike on elbow is too small. Neck may be longer on concept. Wider overall shape in the concept. Hands are too small. Missing 1 spike on tail. Bend the arms further out. Pull back of body out, too shallow looking. TL;DR: match the reference!

I'm not totally finished with this sculpt, but I think I got it in way better shape than last week in terms of reference matching. I spent a lot of time readjusting the major shapes and started to get into some finer details. I've run into issues with some parts where the illustration isn't a perfect 3/4 view (and not entirely symmetrical) so some things can't line up perfectly yet, or at least without posing. I'm confident I'll be able to finish final details, address upcoming feedback, and retopo/UV for next week!

(*A lot of time this week was lost due to being sick :( Please don't look too close at the feet yet!

Common Art - Summer Sprint 1

This sprint, I spent some time figuring out a game plan for tackling the finished versions of the monster pieces (with animator Ryan's approval because he will be skin-weighting them and retargeting their animations). I originally planned to dive right into retopo but decided to go back into the sculpts and really try to match up better with the reference (moreso than my super basic proxies). I knew the evil legs would take the longest of all of them so I've started there - I'm not totally happy with it yet and am missing a few details but it's in a much better shape and I'm confident I'll be able to have it game-ready soon in addition to another piece for next sprint! (I've also started the retopo of the evil head but it's not yet in a very demonstrable state, might do arms next then go back to it.)
