Basic Shapes in Maya - 3D Art 1 (Module 1 Week 01)


Hey everyone! To start off this blog, here are the renders I created of basic shapes in Maya. Though I started this with a pretty solid understanding of basic modeling in Maya, I had never used Arnold before so it was awesome to finally take high-quality shots in Maya without exporting to somewhere else. While this was challenging at first, I see how Arnold can be a powerful tool for producing professional renders while still allowing the artist to have great control over the overall look.


I also really enjoyed playing with the surface shader presets (this one is the balloon)!
