Dragon Project - High Resolution Meshing Part 2 (Module 3 Week 0)

Here is the current progress of my dragon sculpt! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish all of it this week - I've never attempted a sculpt of this detail level before and it's been taking a lot more time than I anticipated! For the scales, I created a series of varying shapes and used the insert mesh brush to place each one and then manipulated them into place - I'm not sure that this was the best way to go about this, but I have at least saved each chunk of scales into separate tools so I can easily remove or modify them, down to individual scales. 

I went with a slightly more rounded look on the scales to better fit the succulent plant theme Piper Seng is working with for the environment she is creating for this project. Here is a render she took this week with my decimated sculpt in her scene:
